Welcome to DriveXpert Academy. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our services, including driving lessons, and your access to our website. By booking lessons or using our website, you agree to comply with these Terms.

1. Definitions

  • “We,” “Us,” or “Our”: Refers to DriveXpert Academy.
  • “You” or “Your”: Refers to the client or learner driver.
  • “Instructor”: Refers to the DVSA-registered Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) providing the lessons.

2. Driving Lessons

2.1 Eligibility

  • You must hold a valid UK provisional driving licence.
  • It is your responsibility to ensure that your licence is available for inspection during lessons.

2.2 Lesson Bookings

  • Lessons must be booked in advance and are subject to availability.
  • Lesson times will be agreed upon mutually and confirmed via phone, email, or text message.

2.3 Lesson Fees and Payments

  • All lesson fees must be agreed upon prior to the lesson.
  • Payments can be made by cash, bank transfer, or any other agreed method.

2.4 Cancellations

  • You must provide at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a lesson.
  • Failure to provide sufficient notice may result in being charged the full lesson fee.
  • In exceptional circumstances (e.g., emergencies), cancellations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

2.5 Punctuality

  • If you are late, the lesson will end at the scheduled time, and no refund or additional time will be provided.
  • If the instructor is late, additional time will be added to the lesson or an alternative arrangement will be offered.

3. Safety and Conduct

3.1 Road Safety

  • Both you and the instructor must prioritise safety at all times.
  • The instructor reserves the right to stop the lesson if they believe you are unfit to drive (e.g., due to illness, alcohol, or drugs).

3.2 Vehicle Use

  • Lessons will be conducted in the instructor’s dual-control car, maintained in accordance with DVSA standards.

3.3 Your Conduct

  • You are expected to behave respectfully towards the instructor and follow their instructions at all times.

3.4 Instructor’s Rights

  • The instructor reserves the right to terminate a lesson or refuse further bookings if there is evidence of inappropriate behaviour or a breach of these Terms.

4. Practical Driving Test

4.1 Booking a Test

  • You are responsible for booking your driving test with the DVSA.
  • We recommend consulting with your instructor before booking a test to ensure readiness.

4.2 Use of Vehicle for Test

  • The instructor’s car may be used for the driving test, subject to their agreement.
  • The instructor reserves the right to withhold use of the car for the test if they believe you are not adequately prepared.

4.3 Liability During Tests

  • The instructor is not liable for any DVSA decisions during your driving test.

5. Limitation of Liability

  • DriveXpert Academy and the instructor are not liable for:
  • Any personal injury, loss, or damage incurred during lessons unless caused by negligence.
  • Decisions made by the DVSA regarding your driving test.
  • Delays or cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances, such as adverse weather or vehicle breakdowns.

6.1 Content

  • The content on our website is for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of the information provided.
